Enabling the Smart Grid
The OptiSense Electro Optic High Voltage Sensor measures distribution voltages from 15 kV to 69 kV.
The OptiSense Electro Optic Current Sensor measures current from 0 to 600 amperes at distribution voltages.
The sensors use a patented optical Pockels cell within an innovative housing that allows for safe, live line field installations. Smaller and lighter in weight compared to potential transformers, the sensor allows placement in locations where the use of conventional measurement devices is impractical, or impossible.
